WIN WOUNDED
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.”
Psalms 37:5-6 NIV
I can’t take credit for this title. Kirk Franklin actually made this profound statement and I just so happen to hear it at the exact moment I needed to. So, I had to write about it. One of the five stages of grief is acceptance. In order to accept something, you first have to be willing to admit to something.
Well, I can admit that I’m wounded but I’m healing. I’m accepting of the things I cannot change and doing the work to correct the things I can. I’m aware of my flaws and insecurities and allowing God to renew my mind and heal my heart. I know it’s not an immediate fix. It will take time but I know it’s coming.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Psalms 147:3 NIV
Don’t focus on the wounds; focus on His promises. Ignore distractions. They were meant to do just that, DISTRACT YOU! Pay attention to the lessons being taught so you don’t have to learn them again. Embrace the unknown with blind faith. God has already gone before you and He will direct your path and order your steps. Isolation isn’t a punishment. It allows for intentional one on one time with the Father in preparation for His purpose to be fulfilled in you. It’s ok if you lose friends and maybe even some family. You learn to appreciate on even greater level where your help comes from. It most cases, ONLY GOD could have done it anyway!
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
James 1:2-3 NIV
Your story is a sign of Gods strength and someone is watching for the purpose of gaining the confidence to trust Him too. Stand firm in and on Gods word.
“So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. [Luke 2:52.]”
Proverbs 3:4 AMP
Most importantly, Keep going!
Don’t quit!
And WIN even while you’re still WOUNDED!
“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”
1 John 5:5 NIV
