WORTH THE WEIGHT
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
As you can probably imagine, I’ve submerged myself in positive messages, God’s word, worship music and uplifting content to fill myself back up. I’ve heard a lot of great messages but, the one that really stirred something up on the inside of me was titled
“Worth the Weight!”
The spelling alone spoke volumes because that’s often how I describe how I feel. Heavy! The weight of all that has transpired over the last six months has been enough for anyone to want to throw in the towel and quit. The weight is what probably keeps many women in marriages or relationships where they are being physically, emotional, verbally or physiologically abused. The weight makes you feel like you are all alone and no one can help you. The weight is draining.
In that message, the pastor said there’s a blessing in the crushing. He encouraged the church to keep pressing on. We are all carrying something. Your situation may be different from mine but the weight…… I’m sure feels the same.
There’s an anointing that comes from the crushing. And the crushing is tied to your assignment. There is a song that says:
Soon as I stopped worrying
Worrying how the story ends
I let go and I let God
I let God have His way.
Well, that exactly what I’m doing. I stopped worrying and I’m letting God have His way. I’m moving forward. I don’t know what the future holds, but if you’re reading this and I encourage even just one person, it was definitely WORTH THE WEIGHT!
Don’t lose hope.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
